A new stage of life appears in so many ways. Transition into a new job where the organization is in a transitional state, transition from the winter running season to the Spring and Summer triathlon season, spending quality time with my Grandson as he transitions from toddler into whatever stage is next, and now the transition of downsizing our home of 20 years into a newer, smaller house. That 10 letter word has been whispering in my ear many times this past month.

It would be so easy to ponder what it all means, and why transition seems to happen all at once! But the fact is if we are not in some form of transition at any given time we are in effect becoming stagnant. It would be so easy to succumb to raw emotion, worrying, compounded thoughts and "stress out" about the feeling of too much happening at once.

However, I believe that minor adjustments in our thoughts, behaviors and actions can take the complexity out of these transition periods. - To be continued-
